Girl Scout Hurricane Relief Collections

The Girl Scouts, Tarheel Triad Council is coordinating an effort to collect supplies for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  Collected items should be brought to the "OLD" Girl Scout Office, 8432 Norcross Road, Colfax, NC during the following hours.  Other hours to drop off items can be arranged by appointment by calling Marci Brown at the Girl Scouts (336) 274-8491 ext. 7240.   Saturday, September 17  -- 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM   If you can volunteer to help accept and sort donations, please contact  Marci Brown at mbrown@tarheeltriad.org.    

1.  Second Harvest Food Bank is requesting help with the following items: Food: single serving snacks in pop-top containers, and other single serving items, including granola, protein and breakfast bars; Water: Drinking water in single serving plastic bottles; Toiletries; Paper goods; Cleaning supplies; Diapers and baby formula; Flashlight and/or batteries. No perishables or glass.
